Vergennes Day
Presented by the Addison County Chamber of Commerce, the 42nd Annual Vergennes Day event was held on Saturday, August 24, 2024, and offered something for all ages—pancake breakfast at the Fire Department, 43rd Annual Little City Road Race, 55+ crafters/vendors, live music on the bandstand, children’s activities, horse and wagon rides, Lions Club’s famous chicken BBQ, events at the Bixby Library—all taking place around the Little City. Vergennes Day is an annual event, held on the last Saturday of August each year.
Ho Ho Ho Holiday Stroll, 2024
Vergennes Downtown was a merriment of activity up, down and all around Main Street during the Ho Ho Ho Holiday Stroll! Taking place the 1st Saturday of each December, 2024 marks a new location for this annual event. This year, the Stroll took place Saturday, December 7 throughout Vergennes.
The fun begins began with Breakfast with Santa at the Vergennes United Methodist Church, across from the Opera House, 9:00-11:30am. In the afternoon from 1:00-3:00pm, Santa and Mrs. Claus welcomed the children at 48 Green Street, One Credit Union, sponsors for the day-long event. CLICK HERE to see what the day entailed. Shout out of thanks to the Bixby Memorial Free Library for their role in the day. The fun went on into the early evening at City Park - lighting of the trees, firepits, hot chocolate, caroling and the arrival of the famous S.D. Ireland lighted truck delighted us all.
