The history of the City spans over 200 years and is visible in the striking architecture of the historic buildings that line Main Street. Charming downtown Vergennes features a city green surrounded by an eclectic mix of businesses that offer some of the best shopping and dining in New England. A quick stroll from the heart of the city takes you to Falls Park and Macdonough Park where you'll find walking paths and picnic areas alongside Otter Creek, a beautiful view of the waterfalls, and docks for boaters.
